GTA IV still scheduled for Q1 2008

Take 2 moves to quash talk that game might slip once again

Following his statement that upcoming next-gen title Grand Theft Auto IV will only be released once the developer in “utterly convinced” that it is ready, Take 2 chairman Strauss Zelnick has now said that that game will ship by the end of April next year as previously stated.

Speaking to GameSpot, Zelnick stated: "I wasn't intending to be newsworthy. When asked about the release date, I confirmed the previous release date we'd given, which is our second fiscal quarter. That's to say sometime between the beginning of February and the end of April."

GTA IV is due out on Xbox 360 and PS3.

I bet GTA IV will be the best GTA ever especially if they bring Tommy Vercetti Back

Personally I'd rather wait for the game than have Rockstar ru**** out just to please a the masses, especially after the abysmal GTA: San Andreas.

Take your time R* and release it when its ready, not before.

I think San andreas is the best GTA yet and it'll be hard to better it. I'm not surprised it didnt make a pre christmas launch and I wouldnt be surprised if they ru**** out for April and rely on an online patch for fixing all the problems.
