Gas Powered Games confirms Xbox arrival for popular PC RTS, though neither it nor former publisher THQ will be involved

The developer of PC strategy title Supreme Commander, Gas Powered Games, has confirmed that its title is heading to Microsoft’s Xbox 360 in the New Year.

The port will be handled by developer Hellbent Games and will be published by Aspyr Media. It will boast exclusive units, maps and multiplayer modes not seen in the PC version. The control scheme will also be overhauled to suit the Xbox 360 joypad.

A PC expansion for the original game, named Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, is due out on PC on November 23rd.
