Xbox 360 and PS3 title becomes second ever fastest selling new IP
As well as clinching the top spot in the ChartTrack All Formats Top 40, Ubisoft’s Xbox 360 and PS3 title Assassin’s Creed marks the publisher’s first All Formats Number One since the release of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 in March this year.
In addition, the game becomes the second fastest selling new IP on an individual format (Xbox 360) since the release of Sony’s The Getaway on PS2 in December 2002. It also becomes the third fastest selling Xbox 360 title of all time behind Microsoft’s Halo 3 and Activision’s Call of Duty 4.
