Russell Arons becomes VP of marketing at EA’s Casual entertainment division
As leading global publisher Electronic Arts continues to press ahead with its grand plans for casual gaming, the publisher has recruited former Mattel executive Russell Arons as its VP of marketing at EA Casual Entertainment.
Arons has worked in global brand management for nearly 15 years, with her most notable position being as the brains behind Mattel’s Barbie toy business, which is estimated to be worth around $1.5 billion.
She will be working with current EA Casual president Kathy Vrabeck and will handle franchises such as Harry Potter, Boogie, Smarty Pants and EA Playground.

All you have to do is look at the crashes at Acclaim and 3DO and the management upheavals at Infotari and Take Two to realise that some of the quality of management is below optimum.
EA are the number one publisher, by miles. And the main reason for this is that they hire top draw professional management. People are everything, with the right people you can get everything else.

EA are gobbling up everything in their gaze , they do everything right do they ? what about their Xbox Live servers , EA are about one thing and that`s money without a thought for the consumer .. rehashing the same old year after year .
