Sony says convergence of PlayStation and Sony Ericsson is ‘definitely plausible’

Rumours of a possible PlayStation branded Sony Ericsson mobile phone first emerged in June, and have since been denied and then once again rumoured – but now Sony has given its strongest indication yet the device could yet become a reality.

Speaking to The Economic Times SCE co-chief operating officer Jim Ryan said: “Convergence with the two arms working together is definitely plausible. It is hugely intellectually seductive to have a console oriented phone.

“While the Cybershot and Walkman are better selling brands from the Sony fold, Sony Ericsson and PlayStation would make a strong success story for Sony.”

and this article were both in the MCV daily digest....WHICH IS IT!!

anyway...its a stupid idea, the psp is too big for a phone, and the volume is way too quiet, even with the volume limiter turned off. I can barely hear music when travelling on a train, let alone hold a conversation if it were to be the same volume.
