Slim & Lite model outperforms bulkier predecessor, shifting over one million units in Sony homeland
Japanese games site Game Watch reports that Sony’s redesigned Slim & Lite PSP has broken the one million unit sales barrier faster than the company’s original model.
The new model, whose official name is the PSP-1000, hit the milestone on November 22nd, just two months after its launch and a full two weeks faster than Sony’s first handheld.
The new hardware arrived in Japan with a bang, selling 500,000 units in its first two weeks on sale. It is currently available in six colours – black, white, silver, rose, lavender and blue.
