Gamestation head man to guest edit December 21st edition of MCV magazine; no-holds-barred interview with David Yarnton coming
MCV has a new editor, with Gamestation’s Martyn Gibbs coming on board to manage the Christmas issue of your favourite games trade read.
There are only two issues of MCV left before we all take a well-earned break for the Christmas period. But they’re ones to watch.
This Friday we publish the results of our annual retail survey, with our friends at Channel Advantage having probed the thoughts of 100 independent retailers from across the UK to find out which distributor has offered the best service this year, which publisher has provided them with the best profit opportunities, what format will win the next-gen battle and – most importantly – whose job in the industry they would most like to have.
Meanwhile, on December 21st MCV will welcome Martyn Gibbs as guest editor. Gamestation’s commercial director is lining up a no-holds-barred interview with Nintendo’s UK boss David Yarnton, he’ll provide his own review of the year and will write the editorial leader column for the week.
“Martyn is one of the most respected and popular members of the UK trade so we’re delighted that he’s agreed to come on board as guest editor for our Christmas issue,” said MCV’s managing editor Lisa Foster.

“As many a publisher boss will testify, Martyn isn’t afraid of offering opinions, so we’re looking forward to a lively issue of MCV. We hope that David Yarnton knows what he’s letting himself in for…”
