That's cool. I was under the impression it's release date was end of April anyway....sure I read that a while ago. You don't mind when a game this big takes time so it's as good and polished as it can be. My birthday is on 29th April anyway if anyone needs a idea for a present haha.

I am concerned about it being a good game. Or rather it not being one. I have a sneaking feeling it'll just be more of the same and hold my interest for about an hour at most. Oh well we'll see. I am hoping for a much smaller but more detailed world. Not a huge empty boring mess that San Andreas was.

This is most likley a re hash of old news and rumour. Amazon have had the April 25th week up as a release for a couple of weeks now. And that would be the last week of Q1, so its just playing it safe. World wide release people. It has to be to generate the big bucks that cash and credit line strapped Take Two needs!

Could this delay have been because the PS3 version was not working as well as the others?

There was some stuff on the Net that led me to believe that this was the case but I could not substantiate it and obviously no one would admit as to the REAL reason for the delay.

Did anyone pick up something like this or similar or know of official RockStar statements that go beyond the normal marketing blurb as to why it's been delayed?

It's a shame really for this delay, because I'm reading more and more people being sceptical about GTA4 than ever!

This may be true but then howcome sites likw GTA4.net haven't posted them yet? I don't think they can drag hype from September to April almost may, I would be very angry, I beleive mid march, this can't be true.

All that is a big lie. Ok, maybe it will come out on April 25, ON THE UK!!! But all I know is that my uncle "wich works with Rockstar' told me that they were planning it for release on March 4, 2008 in NORTH AMERICA!!!

Iam very sorry everyone but the official date controversy to this release is infacts march. Think about it, it will be released in North America on the 4th of March so it is uterly not true the game will be released in April. GTA IV is going to be released between February and the BEGINING of April. For more updates visit IGN. I will find out some more new for all you fans waiting for this spectacular game to come out. i am worried that this game will encourage youth voilence and gun thuggery as did resident evil 1,3 and 4. is it not about time we revolutionise the gaming industry and broarden our horizons. why not create a game where violence is not the only subject, what about creating your own simulated city and buisness enterprise. does anybody agree with me? i'm sitting on the fence on this subject i dont know which way to fall?
