International managing director quits role at publisher

After ten years at the publisher, MCV can reveal that James Ellingford has left Take 2. While he relinquishes his full time role, he will continue at the publisher as a consultant.

Ellingford’s departure comes after a turbulent period for the publisher, which has made widespread staff cuts and sold off peripherals arm Joytech to Mad Catz during 2007. There has also been a major shift of resource over to Take 2’s Geneva HQ.

Take 2 is expected to announce the new management structure of its international operation shortly, but would not make any comment at the time of writing.
