Speculation concerning console adaptation of Crytek shooter resurfaces once again
After winning over the specialist press with it’s technologically demanding arrival on PC last year, rumours have once again emerged that EA’s hi-tech free-roaming FPS Crysis could be heading to consoles – in this instance specifically Xbox 360.
Gaming Today spotted a post on the inCrysis forums that highlights an Austrian retailer’s online listing for an Xbox 360 version of the title.
Though this on its own is relatively meaningless, Crytek boss Cevat Yerli has previously stated that a console port is not out of the question, stating that it mainly hinges on how successful the title proves to be on PC – though he also noted that the heavy firepower needed to run the game could prove a barrier to bringing it to console.

Graphics problems
This game laughs at quad code PC's with even the best graphics cards, so it'll need to be downgraded or at least put on the PC equivalent 'low' setting for it to run at a playable frame rate for consoles.
It'll be even more awkward for the 360 as it has little to no HDD caching so texture pop and load times will be awful.
Re: Graphics problems
You need check the slide brah, the ps3 has dual lasers so i t could run that mug on the low...
Maximum Speed!!!! BOmb taken!!!
Re: Graphics problems
laughs at quad core...yeah butat what resolution. play this game at 1280x720 see how comftable this is, its would be quite smooth on a quad core and a 512mb graphics. thats all the 360 needs to do. run it at 720p, upscale to 1080 if you want, or do what they did with halo 3 and have a lower res. its not gonna be that difficult to run on a s60, itsngot a unified shader graphics chip with shader model 3+. PS3 on the other hand would never be able to run it unless it is scaleddown drastically.
