Store closure threat for Dixons group

200 Dixons, Currys and PC World outlets might close as DSGi struggles to get to grips with poor Christmas

DSGi may be forced to close as many as 200 of its UK stores after announcing that its profits were likely to be down as much as £50 million, a senior retail analyst has predicted.

Tony Shiret, Credit Suisse's senior retail analyst, predicted that the group's new chief executive, John Browett, may be forced to close up a fifth of its UK stores.

The image is a bit misleading, as all Dixons stores closed years ago. Dixons is now an online store, so they will be looking at closing Currys and PC World stores.
