Whilst, surprisingly, Darth Vader and Yoda are both confirmed as playable characters!
Ubisoft will distribute the next two releases in the Soul Calibur fighting franchise in Europe, following a deal with Namco Bandai.
The latest edition will be released under the Soul Calibur IV name on the Xbox 360 and PS3, and Soul Calibur Legends on the Wii. Both titles will be available in the summer.
Elsewhere, it has also been confirmed that legendary Star Wars duo Darth Vader and Jedi Master Yoda are set to appear as playable characters.
The Dark Lord of the Sith will appear in the PS3 version, whilst the leader of the Jedi Council will grace the Xbox 360 version of the game.
MCV is still debating whether or not this is the single best piece of news we have ever heard.

EA handled the distribution for Soul Calibur 2 on the Xbox from what I remember not sure about SC3 though.
Awesome game and the new one looks even better, not too keen on the star wars appearing in the game though.

...and the point of having an exclusive character to each console is...???? Surely most gamers would be drooling at the prospect of Vader vs Yoda so why on earth split them up! Shown the trailer to two colleagues now excited at the prospect of both characters included then the deal was broken when the "exclusivity" was confirmed. Dear oh dear.. Sincerely hope they reason as well as additional $$$$ and add the missing character as an unlockable. The licenses can't be cheap so why not use them!
