Console and two premium games to retail for £349.99

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced a new bundle offer for consumers that will see PlayStation 3 retail for £349.99 with two first-party titles.

The deal, dubbed ‘Pick N Mix’ by the platform holder, will begin at retail next Friday, January 18th and will run ‘until further notice’.

Pinnacle - Football Director

Games involved in the offer include Ratchet and Clank: Tools Of Destruction, Formula One, L.A.I.R, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Singstar PS3 (with microphones).

Other titles in the deal include Motorstorm, Resistance: Fall Of Man, Folklore, Warhawk (with headset) and Genji: Days of the Blade.

Considering this is basically the same deal that was on before xmas I would hardly consider this "new". If you also consider for the same price before xmas, £349 would have got you a 60GB console (albeit with less choice of games), then this seems more like a price rise than a "bargin"...

I need to get a job working for MCV, doing little more than regurgitating press releases in possibly the least critical manner while pretending that everything is brilliant like the bloke off the fast show suddenly appeals.
This has to be the softest copy outside of a concert or football program.

Isn't that £50 more than most retailers are selling a ps3 + 2 games for now?

I don't think so at least not game. Were selling a PS3 and 2 games for 339.99 I think, sorry I just got back from holiday so the deals could have changed.

Yup, its hardly deal of the century and many retailers already have similar deals in place since before christmas. Not quite sure what Sony are smoking.

Is a good deal, people looks this as a bad thing but it' because is the Sony system, if it were the 360 they were "ooohh what a great deal blah blah"

Maybe is because most of the 360 users got the sheep sindrome.

Renzo, aside from your general poor command of English, if you're going to use complicated words like 'syndrome' whilst you're out and about trolling, please try to spell them right. It will lend you some much needed credibility.

But not a real answer, so that gives me all the credit and proofs that I'm right, the people with comments like "poor command of english" (I give a ****) have nothing to say besides the huge amount of free time they got to waste

This is pretty interesting. I think this is a great deal for anyone who is looking for a PS3. Plus you get to choose 2
games? Who doesn't want to play Resistance and Heavenly Sword?

I really wish there was some proper moderation going on here.

Renzo, I wish to apologise for criticising your English language skills, I'm sure I couldn't write as competently in your native tongue as you do in English.

To get back to the point here, this is a fairly decent bundle package if you're after a PS3 and two games. It's not really news worthy, but this is at least some positive news for PS3 and it's legions of abusive fanatics.

At GAME you can pick up a PS3 with Assassins Creed and Kane and Lynch for £339.99 Making it better deal than Sony are doing now. And to the person who said that everyone would be praising Microsoft for the same deal.
Microsoft did a better one. Premium 360 with 2 games AND an extra controller for £20 more than the machine. Thats good.

Jesus the point is boring.

Now a removing the dedicated chip for backwards compatability, now thats THE point.

Although on the actual point... I think they filterd out your mum from the message.

I should be revising or sleeping (not trolling)but us students have better things to do with your time.... I mean our time, your money.

Which yes, I know. We don't actually get that much of.

Is a better bargain because it has actually got games you can play with better visuals, an actual HDMI lead and Component cables. Also a great online service that surpasses the PSN.

All that for £280.

Wow, 350 pounds, that's a bargain for you guys ? Some stories from MCV are a bit biased.

I agree, most of the PS3 articles appear to be advertising as opposed to news.
