Publisher backs critics' favourite with TV ad campaign
Suda 51-developed Wii title No More Heroes is a key release for ambitious Rising Star Games as it enters its biggest ever year.
The publisher is set to continue its fruitful partnership with Hudson by releasing five titles from the company in March across PSP, DS and Wii.
In total, it plans 22 releases this calendar year – up from 14 in 2007. The firm also expects to take on more staff – particularly in its marketing department – and relocate to bigger premises.
“It’s great to be involved with a product like No More Heroes,” said Rising Star Games MD Martin Defries. “We have a marketing campaign on TV through February and March, so we’re kicking off in 2008 with a really big product. We are expecting No More Heroes to be a major hit and the biggest seller on the Wii for the first few months of the year. We’ve had great press already.”

Who cares?
Nice, so you are officially trying to sell this title to the casuals now? Funny thing is that Suda claimed it was going to be a hardcore title etc. then censored it here in Europe and now make pathetic attempt at gaining sales. Lets hope many mothers pick this title up for their 12 year old kids, because the hardcore people like me will not tolerate censored games.
Re: Who cares?
The censorship only really stems as far as removal of blood right? I consider myself a "hardcore gamer" which also means I wouldn't deprive myself of playing this game just because of some missing blood.

RE: comment 1.
You say that they're now trying to sell this to the 'casuals' when its was originally intended for the 'hardcore'
I find your comment confusing as in my mind, a hardcore gamer would want the play a game the way it was originally intended, which in this case is exactly what will happen.
It was developed in Japan and contained no blood. The blood was then added for its US release.
The UK are getting the original Japanese release without blood.
You're obviously not very 'hardcore' or A: you would have known this and B: you would import the title from the states.
Kids these days, Hardcore?
I think not......
Re: Who cares?
Saw this game the other day, it's sick. If you don't buy this because it's not hardcore enough you don't have you're head screwed on. A good game is a good game, blood or no blood. If you see the game in action it really doesn't make any difference, in fact I'd say blood everywhere might even spoil such a stylish title.

Import this title from the states?
I was under the belief that all Wii games as with all other Nintendo home console games are region locked.
If this is not the case then please do let me know as its a nice way to pick up ssbb a few months earlier of whatever the UK date is.
Re: Who cares?
RE: comment 5
Yes, you are right, the games are region locked, my point was that if Randy was 'hardcore' he would have an import machine (as it would have been available before the UK machine) and he would be able to get 'No More Heroes' on import.
Sorry for the confusion.
Meh
To the people saying that blood was "added" to the US version of the game, I can clarify that the bloody version was the original version and that Suda made a separate code for Japan ONLY. he also joked to several western interviewers about its only because of japanese censors " not taking much ****", and ended by saying, "don't worry the US and Europe will be getting the true version". Notice the word , 'true'.
Rising Star did say that thy were considering releasing an 18+ version of the game later this year. Now peole will be waiting to get that version so this one won't sell, and because this wont sell the 18+ version won't be released. Its a no win situation, and pretty awful marketing - all caused by Suda.
Re: Meh
I dont like how stupid Americans come over here and play rough. I am a hardcore gamer, does that mean that I have to import a damn JPN/US Wii? Are you ******ed or what?
