Adult film studio Digital Playground the latest to become Blu-Ray only in what could prove a decisive blow
Though it might seem insignificant compared to the recent decision from Warner, the latest studio to pull out of HD-DVD production could deliver an equally large blow to HD-DVD’s survival chances.
TGdaily reports that leading hi-def pornography film studio Digital Playground has withdrawn its support of HD-DVD and instead backed Sony’s Blu-Ray format.
Sony has previously blocked the release of adult material on its format, giving HD-DVD exclusive access to such content. But Sony’s change of heart has paved the way for adult film studios to switch their allegiance – a move that could prove fatal to HD-DVD owing to the size of the porn industry.

Re: orbilator
How come the MCV word filter blocks out the word **** when the article even has it in the title? Why are you censoring the word? I bet you allow the word PAWN instead?
Re: orbilator
Sony never blocked **** on the format, urban myth. Why on earth would they want to? + BluRay isn't even Sony's format, they are just part of the group that designed it, not the owners, damn fools
Re: orbilator
Bet pr0n works.
Actually I'm shocked - what are we teaching the kids today, paying for pr0n, it's just disgusting.
Kids have it easy nowadays, when I was young we used to trawl the woods in the hope the pr0n fairy had left a few pages of razzle, now they just go to the hun(dot net) and take what they want.
Having pr0n effectively available on demand cheapens the whole experience in my book, kids should have to work for their smut.
Re: orbilator
Mr Jolly, that's the funniest post I have ever read on MCVUK!
I'm still laughing at the idea of the 'pr0n fairy'!
Excellent.
