High Court blocks Rockstar title from release; VAC’s verdict overturned
The Metro reports this morning that after the Video Appeals Committee took the Manhunt 2 case to court to finally get it released – but Mr Justice Mitting yesterday ruled that the committee must reconsider its decision.
During the hearing, the BBFC – which rejected the game in the first place - expressed concerns that the VAC’s decision could have serious implications for its watchdogs' role ‘not only in relation to video games, but generally.’

Manhunt 2 is not available to buy in this country but there have been 4 kids stabbed to death this year so far in the UK.....
Its obvious this game is not the problem, however, if its released, it WILL be a scapegoat for the next stabbing.
Can you just hurry up and release it so that the proper gamers can play it before the next stabbing.
Thank you.

Why haven't people learn to take responsiblity of their action. If we are FAT, than it is the fault of McDonald. If we don't succeed in life, than it School.... Come on, parents should be dtermine what games they need to purchase and the law shouldn't censor product that does not have obvious or intent purpose to harm. Who Am I tell you?

Manhunt 2 is the worst game I played last year.
Doesn't change this is terrible, terrible news. It's been banned because kids will get hold of it... so how can they pass ANY game that's unsuitable for all ages in future? It's been banned because apparently people copy games..... so how can ANY game that shows crime (i.e - every game ever) be passed?
There is a very big danger they will use this to get other games banned, GTA4 doesn't have a certificate yet, and I can't see how they can justify letting it have one.

This is so unfair, why are us brits so bludy picky, the eamericans have got it why cant we, they get films everything first and we have to sit and wait around, the amount of time we have now has to wait for manhunt 2 is a joke, i played the first game and loved it and i certainly havent gone out and killed anyone it is pathetic to say that a game will make people do such things, people have free will a game does not force anyone to do anything and to say it does is just stupid!!!!
In a perfect world we would have Manhunt 2 already and it wouldlnt be for the PS2 it would be for the PS3, but instead we have some silly people running round trying to decide what to do about a game and dragging it out this long, do people have nothing better to do!! In a way they are taking away our rights! we should be able to choose whether we play the game or not!!
I enjoy the gaming and Manhunt or any of the other games like that certainly do not make me want to commit crimes in any way, shape or form i just want to enjoy my games whats wrong with that?? if games make people want to do things that are in them, then they already have a problem if you ask me and its not caused by the game. How can someone blame a stabbing on a game!! what is this world coming too soon we wont be able to play simpsons game cause we will try and do what homer does, or COD cause we might decide to get a gun n shout people, PLEASE LETS ALL GET A GRIP ROLE ON MANHUNT 2.
