March release for handheld adaptation of carnage-friendly racer

Empire Interactive is to release a version of popular racer FlatOut on PSP on March 14th.

FlatOut: Head On will feature eight cars per race and Empire has promised up to 4,000 destructible objects per track. The publisher claims the title will run at a ‘smooth’ 30fps.

A company statement read:

‘The game is built around one of the most technically accomplished physics engines in the racing genre producing the most exhilarating racing PSP title to date - get ready for head on destruction that will literally leave you, the track and your car in pieces.’

Nice to see someone making an effort to release a decent game. If the frame rate holds out this game could be badass on PSP.
