EA racer speeds in at top spot with the best week four sales performance for eight years
Sega’s Mario and Sonic and the Olympic Games has to make do with second spot in this week’s ELSPA/ChartTrack all formats chart, while Activision’s Call of Duty 4 is down one place to three.
Burnout Paradise’s top selling debut week is split between the Xbox 360 and PS3 formats, which claim 53 per cent and 47 per cent of sales respectively. While EA storms in at number one, Nintendo also maintains its strong chart performance, as Wii Play shoots up six places to number four and both Brain Training titles continue their residence in the top ten with the original at five and the sequel at ten.
There are 17 games in the All Formats Top 40 that are exclusive to Nintendo formats this week, while the top eight games in the All Formats budget chart are all only released on either DS or Wii. Nintendo also claim the only other new release to make the All Formats Top 40 chart with Donkey Kong: Jet Race new at Number 33.
THQ’s Ratatouille benefits from some heavy promotions at retail and clambers all the way up to number nine from 30 last week. Nintendo’s Wii Zapper also fires into the top twenty, hitting the number 15 spot.

good to see......
developers now releasing titles after the "christmas rush" where many good titles get stamped on by the Fifa's etc.
Hopefully this proves that gamers will by good titles what ever time of year there released...........
hopefully they will continue this trend.
Re: good to see......
This may also be to do with the lack of Mario and Sonic around for retailers to sell!
Re: good to see......
I was quite disappointed with Burnout Paradise - the whole open-world structure just doesn't suit the game. The hassles it it introduces far outweigh the supposed gains of its much-touted "next-gen structure".
