Horror flick licence nabbed by Brash Entertainment, Unreal Engine 3 utilised
Attention gore fans: Brash Entertainment has announced it has acquired the rights to a game based on grisly horror movie series SAW.
Underneath an eerie headline of ‘Oh yes.. There will be blood…’ a Brash press release sent out today reveals the title will be released in October next year – to coincide with the fifth film in the series coming to cinemas.
Brash promises that SAW the video game ‘will have its own unique storyline, while answering questions left unanswered by the Saw films’.
The firm says it is ‘working closely’ with film companies Lions Gate and Twisted pictures, as well as creators of the Saw franchise, Leigh Whannell and James Wan.
The title is being developed for next-gen platforms and is being built using Epic’s Unreal 3 game engine.
An official website for the game is available to view at www.whoisjigsaw.com.
