EA targets $6bn by 2011

Electronic Arts targets $6 billion in revenues by the end of the 2011 fiscal year, according to CEO John Riccitiello.

With revenues for this financial year expected to be around $3.5 billion, EA are expecting a growth of 70 per cent in three years.

"It’s a big number. It’s never been done in the game software industry before," said chief executive John Riccitiello to analysts at a meeting at EA’s Californian headquarters. "It’s a wide margin greater than I think anybody else is forecasting."

The new growth is to be driven by EA’s casual game division, which announced a series of Hasbro titles yesterday.
