
Slight sales drop, but profits up across the board
Lineage and Tabula Rasa were the key drivers in NCsoft’s full-year financials, which saw an overall sales drop of three per cent, but an operating profit, pre-tax profit and net profit of 14 per cent, 24 per cent and 18 per cent respectively.
Fourth quarter consolidated net sales stand at $95.9 million, while net profits were $11.1m. By region, Korea and North America were the leaders in terms of sales by region, boasting 59 per cent and 17 per cent respectively. Japan accounted for nine per cent of the company’s sales, with Europe claiming 8 per cent. Recent big-hitter Tabula Rasa raked in impressive sales of $5.4m.
Lineage and Lineage II were the stars of the show, claiming 37 per cent and 39 per cent of sales respectively, followed by Guild Wars with 11 per cent of total sales. City of Heroes/Villians accounted of six per cent.
