360 and five games for £240 at Argos

Catalogue retailer offers new bargain bundle

Argos has unveiled a new eye-catching 360 bundle offer.

Customers can pick up an Xbox 360 and five games, including Viva Pinata, Kameo, Fuzion Frenzy 2, Project Gotham Racing 3 and Xbox 360 Live Arcade Unplugged: Vol 1, for £239.96.

This deal can be found in store and through the retailer’s website, and has been advertised in Metro newspaper.

The five games are also sold in a separate pack for £124.99. You can see the deal here.

Or you could buy those 5 games preowned or on offer for less that 50 quid.

Not really all that eye-catching for the right reasons.

Yes, you could buy it preowned, get a scratched disc and a tatty box and manual, and pay 75% of the normal price, 100% of which goes to the retailer, and none of which goes to the developer...

Rikki you are talking **** mate. Most pre-owned stock is in excellent - mint condition. Indies make pennies from new game sales and to stay in business they sell pre-owned stuff. If the publishers and distributors were not so greedy then pre-owned would not be a problem. Blame them and not indies. Another thing profit margins on pre-owned stock is not as high as you think. You should research before talking.

I agree with indie power. New stock has very little margin. Take the new GTA4. My company with vat can preorder it including vat for £38.24. GAME have it advertised for £39.99.
You see my point here...My company, as does many indies-have a machine that resurfaces disks making them just like new again anyway.
