Publisher’s global CEO hints at return for much-loved franchise
Electronic Arts’ creative teams are buzzing about the prospect of brining back Road Rash from the dead, the company’s CEO John Riccitiello has said.
Speaking to GameDaily, Riccitiello said:
“We think about [resurrecting] franchises a lot. Road Rash is one that keeps coming up in brainstorming sessions. EA has created so many great titles, it's tough to keep up with them all.
“I wish we could make those games but the truth is that there are more good ideas in this industry than there are skilled, experienced people to turn them into games.”
The last EA iteration of Road Rash was Road Rash Jailbreak, released in March, 2000.
