Wii Fit to cost £69.99

Nintendo prices title in UK; game and Balance Board to cost €89.99 in Europe

Nintendo has given an official price to its much-anticipated Wii Fit: £69.99 in the UK and €89.99 in wider Europe.

The title – which will released on Friday, April 25th – contains software and Nintendo’s innovative Balance Board.

According to Eurogamer, Nintendo announced the price of the product just minutes ago.

The title calculates players’ body mass index and offers various exercises to help get them ‘fit’ and lose weight.

Hmmmmm... £70. They certainly couldn't afford to make it any more expensive, but is it cheap enough? Perhaps. Just....

I think at that price it may not win new converts in the mass market over to the Wii. I think a lot of existing Wii users outside the 'usual' gaming demographic will snap it up.

Unless of course, like other Ninty revelations in the last few years it proves to be so fresh and brilliant that word of mouth sells it.

Of course, if they can demonstrate actual fitness benefits then it's not much more than a month's gym membership....

As always Mr T - thanks for your candour. Although - must you pass comment on every single news item, the nanosecond it's announced?
I wish I had the time to be honest.

I'm really looking forward to Wii Fit.

If you think about it, if the RRP of an average wii game is £39.99 then really your just paying £30 for the board.. around the same price as decent electronic scales? Yet so much more..

SEVENTY QUID!! I have seen this on pre order for as little as £29. Surely this price must come as surprise to the retail industry. Its on £37 - £40 in Japan.
