It will also go on sale for €399, and could also hit Italy and Spain soon after its launch.

A GT5 bundle is nice, but its bittersweet news against the confirmation that the newly announced MGS4 bundles will be US-bound and are not coming to Europe. The God of War PSP is also not coming to Europe either. Such a shame...
“So its 1 free game then”

I find it confusing that they would call it a bundle when its 1 controller as per usual and 1 game thrown in which in fact is half of the final game almost like throwing in a free very large demo if you ask me...
What about a DualShock 3 controller instead? What about 2 controllers and the game? Thats a bundle...Nice to see France get some movies thrown in...What is Sony trying to show everyone? Its a blu-ray player first then games console??
I give up.

I'm sure the deals are getting worse. I bought my PS3 last month from HMV with 2 full price games (not £20 games like GT5 prologue), Spider-man 3 and Casino Royale on blu-ray with a bundled HDMI cable for £350.
£300 with what effectively is a fancy demo seems very expensive in comparison...
“GT5 Prologue”
Posted by: DolphGB - Feb 28, 3:39pm
I just wanted to add that GT5 Prologue is NOT just a 'demo of a forthcoming game'.
It is a full release and is worthy of it's own full status.
GT5 (when it launches) will seem like a massive sequel, for sure, but Prologue is certainly a full game in it's own right.
I agree that the GT5 Prologue bundle would have made more sense coming with the DualShock 3, or maybe the new Logitech T5 Prologue Wheel even.

*wipes tears from eyes*
I haven't laughed that hard in a while. GT4 Prologue was a "Full game" to yes? If so what ws GT4, 2 games? 3 games?
IF GT5 prologue is done like GT4 Prologue then its just releasing a small part of the game earlier than the rest as a teaser/starter/appetiser one might even say Prologue (haha I so funny) to the main game to build more hype just like a Demo. Though in this case as they are charging for it, its to build hype AND leech more money.
This being said I don't blame them at all, people 'fell for it' and bought it last time, so why not do it again.

“What Does Prologue Mean????”
Posted by: Sir Digby Chicken Cesar - Feb 28, 8:16pm
Can anyone tell me what "prologue" actually means???
Some people tell me that this term is used in books. In this case it means it is only a few pages out of several hundred that sets the scene before the main event...?
It might be referred to as a demo even..! It it was a full game it would have a full price tag and full selection of tracks and cars. It doesn't so it isn't...!

Yea these XBOTS are all over the place. Their defective garbage box 360 with 2$ dvd rom has no games , no wifi, no HDMI 1.3 , no NEXT GEN DVD drive and still these mindless BITS yell.
all the biggest games of 2008 are ps3 exclusives and still these BOTS yell
The Defective 360 elite costs 300 pounds in UK and has none of the wifi, HDMI 1.3 or NEXT GEN dvd drive add-on and thats inexpensive ?????
paying 40 pounds for 2d text achievements on LIVE per year isnt expensive????
40 gig ps3 has all the features as 80 gig except the BC.
However x360 arcade/core dont even have HDD /HDMI 1.3 support. games like Burout cant even be played on arcade /core
go play your defective EXPENSIVE GAR**** BOX 3 FIX ME

Dont forget this SKU will just replace the Solus PS3 at retail and will get bundled by the retailers anyway, with this simply taking the place of the solus SKU.
However SCEE really should be celebrating the 1st Anniversary in the territory with something a bit better - come on! I want to see a bundle with a backwards compatible machine with a bigger hard disc (like 120GB+), a Dual Shock 3, PlayTV, the Blu-Ray remote and that set of Blu-Rays from the movie pack!
Its about time there was an official PS3/PSP bundle too!

Why don't the GT team just release the full game when it is ready, rather than this prologue nonsense.
it'd be like ID software releasing a new quake game everytime they add an extra level.
one controller and one demo is not a bundle. 2 controllers and 3 full games for £400 would be a bundle.

@wasim:
Go suck on a lemon. The 360 has it's problems, but saying it has no games is a complete joke. The PS3 libary is way smaller, and from what I have seen, all formats have equal ammounts of good games comming out on them in 2008.
If I didn't have a 360, I would buy a PS3. It doesn't matter what "features" either has, it all comes down to personal taste. I have my Elite outputting through HDMI, and it looks amazing. Most people don't actually care if it is version 1.3 or 10.23.4577a/567.0b1. The only real difference is to put that number on the box, as most people really wouldn't notice any difference.
If you are such a Sony fanboy that you has to skip class to post a load of venomous words that aren't even true, then you really need to calm down and find a hobby that won't give you a heart attack by the time you reach puberty.
Oh, and invest in writing lessons, as your grammar is awful.

*****-slapped again by Sony for being European.
Why do they hate us ?

Sony doesn't care about the European consumer.
....ZOMG, I sound like Kayne West!!
“Good deal”
Posted: Mar 2, 7:32pm
It's a good deal....The game will be a massive release for the PS3, so makes perfect sense to release a hard bundle - stores have been asking about whether there will be one for months - and they know what their demand is for. The game has 6 tracks and approx 70 cars - significantly more than the Japanese version and is competition based, rather than 'licence' based like GT4: Prologue.
Coupled with 16 player online, (the first for a racing game on any format) and the excellent RRP of £24.99 makes for a good deal. Besides, all retailers will just use the bubdle as if it were the standalone PS3 unit, and all will be offering very competitive deals with an additional 2/3 games, blu ray films etc, so don't worry about that!!
“Re: Good deal??”

Lets clear a couple of things up. Whether you like it or not, Prologue is a BETA version that you have to pay for. When you but the full game, it will be part of that so in effect you will buy it twice.
Secondly, however much you call the 360, you still cannot avoid the fact that the 360 can handle all games just as well as PS3, except that most new ones now need to be installed to the Hard Drive on PS3. Whats that all about? With a 40Gb Hard Drive theres not space for many. All 360 games play straight from the disk with no install.

If people are dumb enough to pay for a glorified demo then why shouldn't a bunch of chancers like Sony take their money...
“Bloody fan boys”

Well i was planning on a PS3 when MGS4 comes and gettin the 80gig bundle but its not even being released in europe! I dont want the pissy the 40gig model when i know that the Americans and the Japanese have a choice of the 80gig model, plus whats the deal with the dualshock 3!? been out in Japan for months and still not even a release date here. It does look alot like Sony havnt bothered there arse with europe. Before anyone says im not a xbox or nintendo fanboy, tho i do own both a 360 and a wii. Im just a big games fan and will gladly buy a PS3, but at the moment it just isnt worth it as a european consumer. Not enough choice and not enough good games out just now. I have no doubt the games will get better but it is fact that the 360 has a far better choice and quality of games out just now and coming out. A console is measured by its games, just as the the PS1 beat the N64, the PS2 beat the Xbox it looks like this time the 360 will beat the PS3. Im not saying the 360 doesnt have faults, of course it does, i got the red ring of death last month for 1st time after owning it for 2 years, but that aside iv been happy with my 360 and games for it, which i hope i eventually will be for my PS3 when i get it and Sony pulls there finger out. As for Wii, not bad but also lacking games, more of a gimmick than anything else.

And as for all these narrow minded, blinker wearing, still waiting for puberty Sony and Xbox fanboys who slag each other off, get a grip and grow up. If your so stupid to miss out on what both consoles have to offer then its your miss, just do us a favour, shut up and hurry off this mortal coil.

the ps3 gt 5 prologue is £289 at ps3offer(dot)co(dot)uk and add another (quality) game for £15 so £305 for the 40gb with 2 games and a free hdmi and free delivery, That's a good deal!
