Sega’s Olympic title makes it three straight weeks at the top of the ChartTrack All Formats Top 40
Despite some stiff competition from four new entries in the ChartTrack All Formats Top 10, Sega’s Wii and DS sports outing Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games maintains its grip at the top of the charts for the third week in a row.
It marks the sixth time that the Beijing-themed outing has ruled the UK charts roost.
Nintendo’s Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training continues its remarkable sales record by climbing one space to second, and it’s closely followed by two chart debutants – Ubisoft’s Lost: The Video Game and THQ’s Frontlines: Fuels of War, which claim third and fourth respectively.
Activision’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare clinches fifth spot, just ahead of Microsoft’s RPG epic Lost Odyssey which enters the charts in sixth position.
EA’s FIFA Street 3 enters the Top 10 for the first time this week, climbing from 11th to number eight, whilst the only other new release to enter the charts, EA’s The Sims 2: Freetime, does so in tenth spot.

Notable omissions from the Top 40 this week include two new releases – Capcom’s PS3 iteration of Lost Planet and Namco’s Xbox 360 title Beautiful Katamari.

Re: My poor little Katamari...
It died on it's backside on ps2 as well in the west, along with Doshin the Giant on GC, Ico when it first came out and a few other titles that were original that people suggested the market wanted to buy but in the end didn't.
Re: My poor little Katamari...
Sad but true...
Re: My poor little Katamari...
I love these quirky titles as a gamer but consistently these products fail at retail. Its a real shame, but any publisher with a sound business strategy has more high end FPS games and brain trainers for Wii and DS and fewer quirky 'don't really know how to describe'-em-ups like this.
