US release of Capcom’s action RPG epic pushed back by three weeks
The Wii version of one of the most beautiful games of recent times, Capcom’s Okami, has seen its US release delayed by three weeks, CVG reports.
Now scheduled to arrive on April 15th, Okami first appeared on PS2 in 2006. Its heavy use of a play mechanic called the Celestial Brush, which saw gamers draw on the screen, made it an ideal candidate for a move on to Nintendo’s motion sensitive console.
The Wii version, unlike its PS2 predecessor, will support a widescreen 16:9 display and progressive scan. The port is being handled by Ready at Dawn, the studio that recently finished up work on Sony’s PSP outing God of War: Chains of Olympus.
Currently there is no European release date for Okami on Wii.
