Unique pre-order offer gives consumers extra guns for use in Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
HMV.co.uk is offering two exclusive weapons for anyone who pre-orders Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. The two guns can be unlocked by using a code.
The content is available for the PC, 360 and PS3 versions of the game, and includes the TAR21 Assault Rifle and the M486 Assault Rifle.
“Vegas 2 is an awesome sequel to the best selling original – game quality and a strong marketing plot is what effects a games sales,” said a HMV spokesman. “This type of offer allows us to give something back to the hardcore fans who made the game such a success in the first place.”
The PS3 and 360 versions of the game are available to pre-order for £39.99, with the PC edition priced at £29.99. The offer follows HMV’s pre-order deal for the recently released Lost Odyssey, where they gave away free Xbox Live points.

code
So will this be a unique code that can only be used once? Or can that code be distributed across the net so peeps who buy there copies from places can unlock the same content?
Hark
Re: code
I imagine a multi use code, HMV gets it advertising etc and Ubisoft avoids pissing off all its customers who Don't have an HMV nearby/Would rather buy somewhere else.
Re: code
i dunno - i got Lost Odyssey from hmv and they sent me a unique code for my Xbox points - why wouldn;'t they give unique codes for this too?
Re: code
well theres a unique code already set up for Microsoft points cause they work alot like top cards used to (or still do)
Isnt it too much hassle to produce this type of system for just a promo thing?
Re: code
what about the ppl in the US. how are we supposed to get them. we dont even have hmv over here as far as i know
code
i have a weapon code and a level map code i'll give them to ya (the weapon code i got is for my ps3 for xbox look around the web)
heres the code for the tar21 rifle. hold R1 at the main menu then press down, down, up, up square, circle, square, circle, triangle, up, up, triangle. a message pops up and says the gun is unlocked then just change to it in the weapon select.
the next code is for the bonus map from comcast.
i can't remember how to get to it but i think u go to extras in the menu then comcast gift then u write exactly what i say. write "Comcast Faster" without the " but with the capitals write it exactly or it won't work
anyway i hope these help
Re: code
The PS3 code for the extra gun is exactly the same as for the xbox. On the main menu screen with all the options hold Right Button then press down, down, up, up X, B, X,B,Y, Y, up, up, Y.
A message will appear saying that the gun is unlocked
