(UPDATED) Is retailer pre-empting official UK price drop?
Amazon is selling Xbox 360 Arcade for £149.99 and Xbox 360 Pro for £189.99, listing the RRPs at £159.99 and £199.99 respectively.
The online retailer is also selling Xbox 360 Elite for £249.99, with an RRP of £259.99.
The original RRP for the Arcade, Pro and Elite was previously set at £199.99, £279.99 and £299.99.
The move follows reports that the Xbox 360 price cut will be officially unveiled today.
The Arcade pack features no hard drive and a disc of Xbox Live Arcade titles, and was introduced last year. The Pro comes with a 20 GB hard drive and wireless controller, whereas the Elite boasts a sleak black design and a 120 GB hard drive.
UPDATE: It appears that since this story was posted Amazon's prices have reverted back to how they were. Stay tuned to MCV for the official announcement which is expected shortly.

It had to happen
This is the price drop ive been waiting for. After several months of playing bad ports and mini-game collections on my Wii (which i still love) i can finally justify the outlay on a 360 and access some more serious games to complement the dip in, dip out nature of the majority of my Wii titles......
Wonder when i'll be able to justify a PS3......2010 i'm reckoning.
Re: It had to happen
I just went on Amazon and the 360 Pro is priced at £249...am I missing something?

Re: Article is wrong
Hi folks
You are indeed correct - as the update in the story now reflects, Amazon seems to have reverted its prices. However, make sure you log on to MCV a little later today as we're hoping to have something more concrete for you.
