Possible hint that Grand Theft Auto IV expansion is in the works

As part of its financials investor call last night, Take-Two has revealed that Rockstar is working on a ‘major’ sequel.

According to Gamasutra:

'Asked where Rockstar might be headed now that production of Grand Theft Auto IV was winding down, company execs said that in addition to the Xbox 360 downloadable content expected in both Q4 of this year and in 2009, the company would be releasing “at least one major sequel in 2009,” though no further details were given beyond saying the game would be a "triple A sequel".'

Rockstar's most successful (and contraversial) franchises include Manhunt, Bully and GTA – though some may assume the 'major' sequel will be a follow up to Grand Theft Auto IV.

Another GTA within 1 year? surely not? I would worry that it'd be rushed? Hmm... we'll soon see.

Went to the company today that is doing it today to have a look round, saw them working on it

Can't say much, but it is 4x the size of San Andreas (13km approx) and has a view distance from the mountain to the other side of the map and takes about 20mins to travel across it
Does not look like a GTA game though
