Not really sure if it's possible to be excited about a new Mortal Kombat game nowadays. SFIV, on the other hand...

Have constantly been dissapointed with MK games since MK3 after that it all went downhill.

I wont hold my breath for this one either.

Oh and you can forget SF 4 its for Arcade machines only oh and JAPAN only...

MK lost it when it added the weapon/styles system.
I always remembered the early MK games being difficult to do combos, but the last lot were terrible. If you did a 20 button combo (which was a combo on it's own) you won the round. great for the person who has spent 5 hours learning it, but highly unbalanced.

give me "soul caliber 4" or "dead or alive 4" any day over MK (SF4 could be could, but only if they fix all the control issues of the old games)

No, SFIV will make it onto consoles, and in both Europe and the US too.

MK has never been great. It was popular at first because it was graphically impressive and very gory. It was never actually any good as a game.

It is now the Current Generation of consoles, not the Next Generation.
Try to think about the words you use, especially in the title. English is a living language, but it donsen't help when people perpertrate bad obsolete buzzwords.

I barely wait for MK-8, I really like all of them from MK1 to MKA. I bet MK-8 will be as good as we expect it.

Mortal Kombat Needs to go back to the 2d sidescroll fighting arenas. Where you can only go left and right, but it needs to maintain its 3D Characters and animations. The weapons should be more limited and you know what killed the game, The slowness in the characters. Remember the first MK when you can punch like 20 times in 10 seconds. Now you can punch like 5 times in 10 seconds.

They need to make the characters more agile and flexible, which is what made the game fun because of its speed.

Seriously, mortal kombat was cool when it was fast n all, but the sluggishness they put into the new games just makes them not comparable to the previous ones.
Mortal Kombat died from MK4, but it would be cool to play MK in HD, in fact thats one of the reasons im getting a PS3

mk needs 3D t move on.without it you wouldn't have games like mortal kombat shaolin monks or cool stage fatalites aand frankly i like the weapons but i dont like the fact that they come from thin air.
