City of Heroes dev Cryptic Studios rumoured to be handling formerly defunct MMO
It seems that there’s life left yet in the dilithium crystals of the once dead MMORPG Star Trek Online, with a new holding page online suggesting that more news on the troubled project is on the way.
It was reported in January that former developer Perpetual Entertainment had walked away from the project.
It’s not known who is now at the helm, though rumours point to City of Heroes and City of Villains developer Cryptic.
The huge appeal of the Star Trek licence, coupled with the techno-friendly inklings of its target audience, makes the Gene Roddenberry universe an obvious choice for the MMO treatment.
However, the same could be said for Star Wars – and that project has faced a succession of problems.

Resistance is futile...
You will be assimilated. Your cultural likeness will be integrated into our own. I am Locutus of Borg!

One little known fact is that my positronic matrix is set to be used as the server for the game.
Re: Resistance is futile...
Mr T - you have a severe personality disorder - earlier you were Mr Worf and now you claim to be Borg.
I suggest a good 'session' with Counsellor Troi - don't tell Riker, he gets jealous when somebody else looks down her cleavage.
PS stop calling me 'fool'.................
Re: Resistance is futile...
Mmmmm - Counsellor Troi. Would. But she'd have to keep that whinging mouth shut.
