Yakuza 2 gets European release

Sega’s critically acclaimed PS2 adventure brawler to arrive some time this year

Third person mafia-based adventure outing Yakuza 2 is to be released on PS2 in Europe some time in 2008, Sega has confirmed.

The game was released in Japan in December 2006, and received some rave reviews from the Japanese consumer press. It had been presumed that a Western release had been passed up following the relatively poor performance of the first Yakuza in this territory.

“We are thrilled to treat the gamers in Europe to the sequel of the critically acclaimed Yakuza,” Sega Europe’s marketing director Gary Knight stated. “Yakuza 2 is one of the most requested Japanese titles in our portfolio and we’re delighted to finally announce a European version.”

well, getting Yakuza 2 with almost 2 years delay... this is not "good news".
i already sold my PS2 and purchased a PS3.
They should seriously consider releasing Yakuza 3 in Europe but not with such huge delays please...
Also it should be in original language (Japanese) with English subtitles !!
