US movie rental firm surveys members about their interest in Microsoft’s downloads service
Leading US movie rental firm Netflix has surveyed a number of its members about their interest in streaming movies from Microsoft’s Xbox Live service, Reuters reports.
A spokesperson for the firm said that the move didn’t necessarily indicate a forthcoming agreement between itself and Microsoft, though it did add that Netflix is keen on getting its content to consumers “in as many ways as possible”.
Microsoft’s Xbox Live movie rental service has been a tremendous success to date, though it only arrived in the UK late last year. Several movie studios, including the likes of Paramount, currently supply content.
