The Independent newspaper details its ten best video games of the moment
As other national papers detail the Byron report, The Independent’s front page advertises its feature for the ten best video games.
The feature, which can be found on page 24 of its extra supplement, claims that Sega’s Condemned 2 is the best video game of the moment, whilst Advance Wars: Dark Conflict for Nintendo DS comes in second.
Condemned 2 was described by writer Rebecca Armstrong as a game that ‘blends horror with hands-on combat and hi-tech forensics’.
The full list is as follows:
1. Condemned 2
2. Advance Was: Dark Conflict
3. Burmout Paradise
4. Harvest Moon: Magical Melody
5. Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
6. God of War: Chains of Olympus
7. Bully: Scholarship Edition
8. Geometry Wars: Galaxies
9. Patapon
10. The Orange Box

“Poor choices?”

Is it just me or have they made some quite poor choices? I would not have put Bully up there and would have placed the Orange Box higher, is this the best games ever or for 2007? If it is ever then I am shocked and think almost all of those games should be replaced with classics. I am also shocked that Zelda, Smash Bros and Pokemon aren't up there!
