First ever console-only series created by Hollywood veteran's movie company
Microsoft has inked a deal that will result in the first original TV content produced for the Xbox 360 gaming console, according to Media Week.
The partnership is with Safran Digital Group, a web-based production and distribution company that has been launched by Hollywood talent agent Peter Safran.
Safran will produce six unnamed short-form series, which will launch on the Xbox sometime in the summer, and is aimed at the Xbox’s core audience of young adults (18-34).
Currently, gamers can download full-length movies and TV episodes from Xbox Live, but nothing created originally for the platform.
