PlayStation store gets revamp

New look and structure for Sony’s digital content portal coming later this month

Those who’d noticed the recent ad on PSN won’t be surprised to hear that Sony has officially confirmed that its PlayStation Store is to receive a visual and structural makeover later this month.

Feeding on the weighty response from users of the service, the main changes will be to the interface and navigation, both of which will be simplified.

Sony also says that the new system has a greater degree of categorisation and boasts what is described as a ‘dynamic user interface’.

However, the off-shoot is that there will be no new content updates for the service to two weeks whilst the changes are being rolled out.

Are you sure it's "coming later this month?"

I mean, this is Sony and it's the Web site that's normally LATE for every party there is going, so it had better be ready when they claim it will be, otherwise, there'll be nothing but a full-scale revolution from PS3 owners!

And to add insult to injury, there will be NO MORE updates UNTIL the new site is on-line...Yikes! I can hear the rioting outside already...! Woh, duck!
