
Popular UK mocap firm used 60 Vicon cameras for Hollywood director's new movie
Audiomotion has today detailed its involvement in movie director Roland Emmerich's upcoming Warner Bros. 10,000 BC, providing extensive motion capture support.
The Oxford, UK-based team recorded all the mocap for the movie, shooting across several weeks using 60 of it 100 Vicon MX40+ cameras.
Barry Hemsley, VFX producer at Warner Bros said: "On 10,000 BC we needed to build a comprehensive library of motion capture to drive the movements of an array of synthespians - from a single hunter to an army of thousands.”
Hemsley continued: “Audiomotion made sure we got everything we needed in a matter of days, combining an ingenious mobile set-up, with creative management and sheer hard work. I look forward to working with them again."
Audiomotion is staple UK games development mocap service, working for an number of clients including Codemasters and Sony.
