MCV ran a story of it in the magazine a few weeks back. Got my interest. I hope it does well.

Good to have some focus

eBay's great and everything but it's good to have an auction site dedicated primarily to gaming. I'm sure people will find it easier to jump to what they want from the home page rather than taking up time looking through the hundreds of categories eBay has. Thumbs up from me!

Who are the people behind this venture? How do they plan on competing against ebay's multi-million visitors per day? Answers on a postcard please...

Isn't pre-owned the hot topic of the moment for some? Many current Ebayers are boycotting the site on May 1 due to its daft fees and the removal of seller feedback.

This site is clearly not going to compete with eBay exactly. It looks like its good for the games space. I can imagine small stores selling through it a lot if it does well.

Many auction sites have started claiming to be the alternative to Ebay and they have all gone to the wall. Free listings sounds good to get the intrest up but what ALWAYS happens is that all the ebay sellers list a lot of junk on the new sites and overpriced items becuase its no loss if it does not sell.
The think that makes ebay good for sales is all the non savey gaming purchaser that dont think to check prices and have high chances of getting into bidding wars.

This site will be gone within a year, sorry but limiting the market to just one item just isnt going to get the bidders from ebay there as the ebay account can be used to buy anything.

Oh and David Tolfree "plant" ;-)

I think it's a brilliant idea, i've had nothing but problems when using ebay and think that something like this could be the perfect place to sell some of my much loved, but unused gaming kit.

Good luck on the venture

You know it's really obvious when staff from yourgametrade are posting comments sounding like a member of the gaming community.

Just like you did here too
