running time? I dont get it.

Is that runtime of cutscenes and audio? It cant be gameplay, you cant put an exact runtime on gameplay.

Running time, I presume, is the video sections.

I am kinda saddened as I was hoping it would be an 'adult' game as it has been called before however I don't think a 15 rating will reduce my experience :)

There is no way in hell a 9 hr game fills up a 50gb Blueray disc!!! There is no way in hell that MGS4 is only 9 hours long when numerous websites already stated when they played the entire game in Naru Japan, they palyed it 10 hours straight each day for 3 days in order to beat it! If the game was ONLY 9 freakin hours long it would have been revealed that some, if no ALL of them beat the game in one day! This is proof positive that MGS4 is a hell of alot longer than some 9 hours long!!!

Well

Well considering if thats just the video time.. Even if its just gameplay thats pretty good considering i can complete MGS 3 in like 3 hours

But it should be longer if there tying up all loose ends.

By 9 hours, it means the video that Konami compiled of all the most violent/objectional stuff that they send in to get rated. This includes only the most violent things, such as footage of Snake torturing guards and such, and also cutscenes. Based on the footage, the game gets a rating, in this case, an M.

Isn't the point just that it has been granted certification?

@3 - I'm pretty sure that they are not stating that it only has 9hrs game play - chill :) On this subject, great reporting MCV, just giving enough of the facts to let the ill informed masses fill in the blanks!

No guys its clearly the running time of the gameplay lol. Expect this game to be like 30 hours. It has to be the running time of the gameplay otherwise they wouldn't have such a "specific" ass time of 545m and 47s :)
