Football franchise reaches new heights with greater gameplay responsiveness and modes
EA has high hopes for new release UEFA Euro 2008, labelling it the best football title the company has produced in 15 years.
The licensed football franchise hits shelves today (April 18th) and despite England’s abysmal failure to qualify for the real tournament, EA is confident that the quality of the title and the chance to take an in-game England through to Euro 2008 will ensure another sales success.
Speaking to MCV the title’s producer Simon Humber confidently revealed EA’s high expectations for the game, despite none of the home nations reaching the Euro 2008 finals this year.
Humber said, “Euro 2008 is simply the best football title we’ve released.
It combines great strides forward in gameplay responsiveness with brilliant game modes to provide the number one football experience available in video games today.”
Humber cited brand new game facets, including the online ‘Battle of the Nations’ gameplay feature, as a key selling point for the title. “For fans of the home nations, although we’re not going to be at the finals, the game has a daily competition for fans around Europe named Battle of the Nations. This means that one of the home nations can still become the Euro champion in the virtual sense.”

Sorry, but you can't polish a t*rd. Fifa will be the same old fifa, looks great but plays terrible. Most people in th home nations are trying to forget about Euro 2008 and I can assure they'll forget about this Fifa too!

“Pro Evo is Dead”

I think the yearly rush to get the game released in time has cost Konami dearly. Pro Evo is not a next gen football game yet. I love Pro Evo and am really disappointed in it. I didn't like FIFA 2008 but I absolutely love Euro 2008! Its much quicker than FIFA normally is and graphics are amazing. Pro Evo needs radical over-haul or its dead.
