Go!View, created in conjunction with sky, will offer ‘wealth of programming’, says Sony
CVG reports that Sony is set to release its new video download service for PSP, GoView!, this summer.
Created in conjunction with Sky, the service lets consumers download and watch programmes and films on their PSP.
"This summer, PlayStation and Sky will launch Go!View, the first official PlayStation Portable video download service in Europe.
Go!View will provide a wealth of programming from the worlds of entertainment, comedy, sport and movies for PSP owners to enjoy in addition to their usual gaming experience," said Sony.
"Go!View gives PSP users the chance to watch their favourite programmes on either a subscription or pay-per-view basis. Once registered on the Go!View website, users will be able to easily download content to the PSP via their PC."

Video downloads coming this summer!! They've been available for free on the PSP for ages. It's the main reason people buy a PSP. It is probably the world's #2 media player for pirated content (after the PC).
“NOKIA LEADS THE WAY”

PSP still lags well behind the NOKIA N-Series and the Ipod Touch in terms of the portability of key entertainment components. PSP seems to follow others rather than LEAD. And apart from Loco Roco and God of War the games are very poor. PSP needs massive brand investment and the same exposure Nokia and Apple gets otherwise it'll die a slow death
