CEO gives first national newspaper interview as publication calls her the ‘First Lady’ of the industry

GAME boss Lisa Morgan has given her first ever national newspaper interview to The Daily Telegraph – and the newspaper has praised the business acumen of the retailer’s CEO.

The piece charts Morgan’s life from being a buyer at now-defunct chain Tandy when she was 19-years old, through her roles at Future Zone, Electronics Boutique and, finally, GAME.

Morgan says she’s “very confident for the outlook of the industry as a whole” as GAME gears up for the release of GTA IV on Tuesday.

She adds that she has enjoyed the "feminisation" of a once-male industry. On entering the male-dominated Financial City as CEO, she added:

"Was it daunting? Possibly, but it seemed like a natural progression. I like talking about the business and it is the smallest part of the job."

Ms Morgan might be the first lady of games retail, but she certainly isn't the first person to pay their staff peanuts.
