Sierra’s Bourne Conspiracy developer explains why actor wouldn’t lend likeness to title
The developer of Sierra’s upcoming movie adaptation The Bourne Conspiracy has revealed why actor Matt Damon refused to lend his voice and likeness to the title: because he dislikes violent video games.
High Moon director of business relations Meelad Sadat told MTV that Damon was in negotiations to contribute but ‘he took issue with the game’s level of violence and pulled out’.
Damon’s mother, Carlsson-Paige told The Boston Globe earlier this month: “I am very wary of violent video games… Research shows they desensitize kids to violence, even more because they engage kids in committing violence.”
When asked if she approves of her son’s violent films, she added: “Matt and I don’t share the same views about violence in adult films, but we do see eye-to-eye on the importance of protecting children.
“We both support regulations to stop the marketing of violence in films to children through violent toys, products, and video games.”

Re: Tsk
Yes Mr Damon. Because you're far more realistic looking violent doesn't desensitize anyone by the same measure.

Re: Tsk
Well, he is just a bad actor, who cares what he thinks. The Bourne series are bad films, and the game is probablt going to be bad also.
NB: I like how the Bosten Globe interviewed his mum for this article :) I don't see them interviewing Tanya Byron's parents after her review.
