Just to let everyone know that FRANCE represents 87% of UK's sales . so 10:1 in FRANCE and other places would see a huge difference in sales between the 2 versions

Swedish Gamereactor mentioned in their 10/10 review that they were pretty surprised regarding the difference between the PS3 and 360-versions. The PS3-version features better colours, contrast, load times and what looks to be better resolution textures. The game also looks sharper and has a more stable fps.

I can say that in my game shop where I did a midnight launch 360 sold a lot better than ps3, not saying I'm taking the 360's side as I have both consoles.

That said I'm happy I've got the 360 version as apparently there can be problems with it on a 60gig ps3 :(

From what I have read and heard on the internet both versions have there problems. The PS3 according to the forums seems to be having problems with crashing. However with xbox360 according to reviews graphics are not that of the PS3. Both have there own problems so I would not really say one is better then the other. All you fan boys of the xbox360 or the ps3 just stop already both systems are great and when you really look at it all the best games are cross platform any way. Other then maybe Halo 3 or Resistance Fall of man.

People like wasim can not be happy simply by owning a great game or gamer system. For some reason they feel they have to glorify their decisions whilst belittling others decisions regardless of merit or simple difference in taste. It's almost as if they feel that the existence of people that don't agree with them is a threat to their happiness. Its the same kind of mentality that went on when we were all kids.

It's funny how people say the game is much better on PS3, I have it on the 360 and my brother got in on the PS3; I've been able to play online no problem (he couldn't even get a multiplayer game going yesterday), and the graphics (coming from him) look a lot better a the 360.

I used to like posting and reading the MCV forums. Is now overrun with fanboys who offer nothing new or interesting to read. Many of the above comments are fine examples of this.
Both versions are predominantly equal.
It does not matter what console you play it on - you are going to have exactly the same experience. Neither console is going to die over night so arguing which is winning the war and which is dead is also irrelevant.
Seriously - lay the fanboyism to rest and just enjoy the game.

I've had no problems at all on my PS3 (40gig), online works fine, game hasn't crashed once. All seems fine.

I suspect this is the same for BOTH consoles, but their respective fanboys are hyping up the issue.

Look stop trying to one up each other with PS3\XBOX is better.

To Get things straight the whole GTA series is made here in the UK. Rockstar North is in Edinburgh Scotland they made the main episodes the City Stories episodes were made by both Rockstar North & Rockstar Leeds.
I bought both versions myself they do look very simular but I don't like the contrast of the 360 version it makes reading the messages on the mobile very difficult even after changing the game display settings. At the moment I am playing this version just for the acheivement points & multiplayer but will start on the PS3 version when my daughter wants to play it on her 360.

Its no real surprise that the ps3 version runs smoother, its not actually HD resolution so it isn't pushing the same pixels as the 360 is.

Can we not just be happy for both machines here I mean we are talking about the same game after all does it really matter what you play it on. Day one sales of this game are the highest ever for each console respectively and the highest ever day one sales for game period ! Its all good news for the game industry considering all the doom and gloom about the economy at the moment so just be glad this is one of the few growing sectors in retail if not the only one.

And I can't getover how blurry the game is on PS3, let alone not in 720p and watch the game drop to single figures on an online game, if you can get an online game with the PS3 that is.

And having seen both versions run side by side on my Samsung 42" both with HDMI and the same settings, the 360 is the version to go for if you own both systems, also it depends where your online m8s play also, 99% of my m8's are on LIVE simply because it's better, so for me it was a given./sarcasm

Both consoles have their ups and downs..PS3 has better tools and software and allows more customization and the Xbox 360 has a better online community and offers more titles..Just be kewl and buy both..It worked for me.Both Sony and Microsoft created these machines so you can play games just enjoy them and stop being little bitches.
