SCEE president claims that Sony’s next-gen console has been shifting more units than its rival in Europe since last year
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president David Reeves has claimed that PS3 has outsold Microsoft’s Xbox 360 month-on-month in Europe since October last year.
Speaking as part of Sony’s PlayStation Day at the O2 Arena’s Indigo room in South-East London, Reeves also talked much about the “passion” of PlayStation – and revealed that Sony’s full-year sales figures would be unveiled in its fiscal results next week.
“PS3 has been consistently outselling its nearest rival since October last year,” said Reeves.

They probably have, but a good % of those sales were for a Blu Ray player rather than a games machine.
GTA IV is a better calculation of sales. Is it not true that XBOX 360 version is outselling the PS3 version 2:1?
PS3 is a great machine with Blu Ray, but these articles are so mis leading

PS3 has overtaken X360 in LTD sales in europe despite launching a YEAR and A HALF after it

as for other EU regions X360 version of GTA4 remained largely on shelves
as for 2:1 ratio in USA ----thats FAKE MS claim
The REAL ratio in USA for GTA4 is like 3:2 for PS3: X360

Not neck and neck Wasam. It was 55% Xbox 360 to 45% PS3 and that was before all of the problems were realized on the 60 and 20 gig SKUs and before the online problems for exclusive to the PS3

Wasim you idiot, look at the facts not the fiction, fanboys go away! GTA 4 sold out far quicker on 360 FACT then sold out on PS3 FACT stock levels where FACT smaller than 360 therefore sold out quicker and had more units, are you getting this now??

Google "Blu-Ray players" and see for yourself how many Playstation 3's are listed.

If Sony are to be believed, PS3 has sold over 5 million in Europe. OK. But only 2.1 million in Japan and 4.9 million in the US. They must be worried. 360 has sold 11.7 million just in the US. Also 0.6 million in Japan and 6.4 million in the rest of the world. Figures as at 3rd May 2008
360 18.72 million total
PS3 12.37 million total
By the way Wii 25.46 million total.
Both Sony and Microsoft should be very worried, they are BOTH way behind.
