‘We’ll see where we go from PC’, says boss of EA’s dedicated Sims division
The boss of EA’s dedicated Sims division, Nancy Smith, has said that The Sims 3 may come to more formats than PC after it is released next year.
Smith also revealed that she doesn’t see the title as a ‘casual’ game – and added that, in EA’s eyes, the games is “more of a toy than a game”.
She told the BBC: “The Sims 3 is a bit of a technology transition for us. But we have a team of 350 people in San Francisco working on it.
We are focused on launching it on the PC first and will see where it goes from there.”

The Sims 3 is currently due for a single-format release on PC in 2009, with an exact release date yet to be confirmed.

Why?
The Sims is just not suited to consoles. Take away the players freedom to do as they please ruins the concept of the game.
And it is more of a toy, you pick it up if your tired of getting to certain objectives or aiming towards something. The Sims gives you freedom and that's why its such a hit on the PC
