As this game isnt made by infinity ward and is already in developemnt by the team that ruined cod3 im not holding my breath. Its call of duty in name only and will not be anythign like the quality nad balance of REAL COD games made by Infinity Ward
I think activision dropped the ball farming out there prize title to people who already let them down last time.

All they have to do with the 5th one is kill the Juggernaut Perk! Oh and kick all the 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 year olds off and i would buy it in a heart beat!

IW /made/ CoD a series, and made CoD4. CoD3 was a crappy title, so I don't expect to be getting another CoD 'til CoD6

The reason they give Treyarch the title every other year is due to the two year development cycle. COD5 will use the COD4 engine and Infinity Ward have ave advised on the development. COD5 will be set in WWII to end the story of the first 3 games. All COD games will be set in modern or futuristic enviroments from then. COD3 wasn't actually that bad, and with IW helping on COD5 (and using the COD4 engine) will be hard to think this game will be anything else but awesome.

listen guys, the user base doubled last year coz u changed to modern warfare (MODERN WARFARE) STUFF THAT WE OF THIS GENERATION can relate to and realy enjoy, i had all the cod games on pc and 360,cod 2 on 360 was very good,cod 3 on 360 was poo, cod 4 is bloody amazing, graphicaly and fabulous to play,the best by far...dont spoil what u have acheived, we want modern games, if not we will play cod 2, but i doubght well blow the dust of it while cod 4 is around......

yeah, cod 3 was that bad. none of my cod buddies played it much at all. go look at all the 360 players and no one i know has over 300 achivement pts, ie, they didn't even play or finish story mode.

Blah, this game is already reeking of mediocrity, I'm not gonna hold my breath as COD3 was horrid, COD5 will be coming to PS2 and Wii (the fact that COD4 was next-gen only and that this will be previous gen compatible already says a lot about the quality of the work put into this game), AND it's returning to WWII. WWII is played out already guys, and Treyarch is too scared to step up to the plate and make an attempt to make a great game and continue the COD4 saga, so they're returning to what they messed up in the first place and try to redeem themselves that way, and it can be said that it most likely won't happen given their track record.

easy 1 for u guys to get a little input from all cod fans, ask in a pole what they like better, old ww2 warfare eg: weapons, OR dod 4 MODERTN COMBAT, TRY NOT TO DICTATE what we have to play coz u and all who fund it will lose out drasticaly...look at cod 4, and u will understand....better weapons, this is a new generation, so get with the program guys.

I know that COD4 is the future but what is the deal with people being so vitriolic about COD3. Ok, it wasn't as technically advanced as it's next gen in the series, but for it's faults I found it to be a bit light hearted and a good laugh online. COD4 is more advanced and has a darker and more serious tone to it. No you can't compare 3 to 4 but then everything moves on.... Give Trey a chance. You never know, they might just come up with the goods. Each game should be judged on its merit, not on past experiences....

Its awesome that they are bringing it back to the Great War that changed our world. If you all do your research on World War 1 and World War 2, you will appreciate this game and others set back in the War.

All those people that fort for us should be remembered for as long as mankind lives. And by them setting the new COD back to the WW2 is a great way to get the younger population into the World Wars for them to take interest and research the story behind the causes and happenings of the World Wars. We want the younger population to know what our country went through along with others to give us the freedom we have today. Having a computer game to do this, is a great way to get through to the younger population, and to show what we went through to Win the War.

If we didn't Win the War, you younger people of today wouldn't be playing this game or any other game, actually you probably wouldn't have even been born.

Take interest in the World Wars and respect those who fort for our Country.

cod 4 was rubish the mulitplayer was ok at first but after a week or two in gets realy lame cod 3 has the best multiplayer and cod 2 had the best campain and if cod 6 is set in modern day then i probaly wont buy it

cod 4 career wasnt the best, it was to restricted, cod 3 wins hands down on this one, but cod4 in my opinion on multiplayer is great, apart from some perks like juganught and martydom, to unrealistic, but apat from that, its great.
im going to buy cod5, has to be done, niether game has done enough to put me off buying it. COD is quality.

Ive played all of the COD's, one thing that put me off COD3 was as "the legend " put it noob's fest. The maps were sh%£ and everything else about it was wrong. COD4 is special, for one its modern, maps a very good the idea of perks etc work very well, though i think 'creek' is the worst map ive ever played from IW though i like the surroundings and the idea. Anyway, I am going to hold out putting an answer to how Treyarch are going to handle this. I like the idea, (pacific area) but if they are going to make this work the maps need to be small similiar to COD2 & 4. Ow just one thing, i hope they get plenty of ppl to Beta test it, not just in-house testers but proper through and through public COD players testing it.

Cod 3 wasn't that bad it was actually pretty good, but obviously nowhere near as good as cod 4 like.
Cod 4 multiplayer was amazing so what us talkin about.

eeeeeeeeerm i got a plan to solve all of this...im goin to uni/college watever u call it..to do business an when i come out im gona try an take over I.W. an take (like somebody here said) ''what they achieved'' to a whole diffrent level....me an my n***a dean been thinkin bout this for a while now...3 kills UAV...5 kills airstrike...7's a chopper (but your shooting (from the inside))...and then.... 10 kill streak is a tank and ur drivin/shootin and like at 15 you should be able to set the dogs out on people loool. (this way you wouldnt be gettin all the NOOBS hoggin the vehicles). YES to 'MODERN WARFARE' but the levels should be bigger...like 2-3 times the current size plus a lot of extra maps coz id have them IW motherf**kers workin like slaves
