Six titles available to download as part of service’s launch

Nintendo's WiiWare service has made its European debut – and, as promised, there are six downloadable titles available to consumers to choose from on launch day.

The service launched in Japan in March and in the US last week.

Key games available from today include Lost Winds from UK developer Frontier, Pirates: The Key of Dreams from Dutch outfit Oxygen Interactive, Toki Tori from Dutch developer Two Tribes and TV Show King from French firm Gameloft.

“Opening this creative door will provide Wii users access to a huge choice of games that they can easily download and enjoy,” said Laurent Fischer, Nintendo of Europe’s MD of marketing & PR.

I disagree :)

Its not fantastic, doesn't really suit me as I'm more into action orientated games (fps etc) but I've played it and it was fun. WiiWare sounds like a good idea, its really going to depend on how much help nintendo offer to third party developers as to whether or not its a hit or not.

Looking forward to conduit and future titles based off of its engine (can't remember its name)

If WiiWare becomes the mini-revolution it promises to be, then could this mark the end of Publishers? The end of Retail?

The End of MCV?
