Sony celebrates milestone; 400,000 players access PSN in the territory each month
Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that over a million consumers have signed up for PlayStation Network accounts in Japan.
PSN went online in the region in November, 2006 – and Sony revealed that since then 400,000 players have accessed the store each month.
According to Japanese games site Game Watch Impress, Sony is celebrating by giving away 1,000 PSN tickets to use in the platform’s store, worth 1,000 Japanese Yen each.

BUGGER!
I wonder if that milestone will include my Japanese account as well as other western gamers that have signed up to access downloads? I hope I get my free points card (really doubt it though :D ).
Re: BUGGER!
Yes it does! Although i have no proof i find it hard to see how Sony could identify the two. Still at least the Playstation Network is developing well now, you have to remember this is Sony's first real foray into the software market.
Re: BUGGER!
I know i should not really plug anything for Sony but the PSN does not get the advertising of big budget games so i would suggest just trying out the following games....
PixelJunkMonsters
EchoChrome
WarHawk
Locoroco C
Pain
Tekken DR
EveryDayShooter
Super Star Dust HD
Calling All Cars
Flow + Blast Factor
And also keep an eye out for (coming soon)
Siren
PixelJunkEden
Linger In Shadows
WipeOut HD
These are good games and will keep you busy. Also there is no harm in making American and Japanese accounts as they often have content not available in the EU store!
